A savory custard?

I am writing this in a restaurant because I know as soon as I get home I am going to put in Die Hard and check out.

Today was my first day of teaching. I figured out the bus and got there when I needed to (and honestly the buses aren't that scary to navigate. Google maps does it all for you anyway). I met all my fellow teachers and they all seem pretty awesome. I got some ideas and finished up my lesson plan I had started making the night before. I had to take 3 paragraphs of reading and 4 written activities and stretch it into two hours. Easy right? (Spoiler: no) I added some games of course to make it fun. I won't get into it all but basically it was like herding cats and pretty much no one listened and one kid is way too low leveled to be in this class and another kid was an absolute nightmare. The class ended with Mr Nightmare shoes off and laying on the floor. Brilliant. Basically by the time everyone left the room I couldn't contain myself and I cried on and off for the next hour. I got a lot of support from my fellow teachers and even got a call from the head office wanting to know more and what they can do to make sure this doesn't happen again. Tomorrow I have a meeting with two of my bosses to talk. It's all been very overwhelming...so now I am sitting in a restaurant treating myself but the custard they gave me is not sweet but very much egg.
