BAM! I made a new post in under 4 months. Impressed?
Today I am going to talk about my week as well as something that has been weighing on my shoulders for the past 4 months. Very few know of my struggle, and it has come to my attention that some of my close friends had no idea I was going through such a trail. I am not as great of a communicator as I once had thought. Now, whenever I think I have addressed the problem it always seems to come back when I least expect it--- often ruining my evening.
Friends, family...I am talking about my mold problem. That's right ya'll, your girl Chelsea here has been battling mold in the apartment for far too long. I am blaming the high humidity, of course. I didn't have this problem in the summer, and I believe it's a problem now because of the fact that I am not running my AC. There's no air flow. WhY dOn'T yOu LeAvE a WiNdOw OpEn ThEn? Listen. I have to pick my battles. I either battle mold or the bugs that come into my apartment due to the screens not being sealed. Once it gets warmer and I run the AC I shouldn't have the problem anymore...right? At any rate I am currently fighting back with vinegar because my household cleaner isn't doing the job. The stuff keeps growing back. Not cool guys!
In other news, thanks to my dear friend Toni, I have fallen in love with something I didn't think possible. Ginger Milk Tea! So good! If you have known me for a decent amount of time, you will have learned that I do not like ginger. I don't want to eat something that seems strangely tangy and spicy at the same time. So weird. However, this milk tea has big chunks of ginger at the bottom and it just seems so perfect and delicious.
I also would like to report that I am going on my first totally solo trip! You would think that moving to a country by myself without knowing anyone there is the height of solo traveling experiences but it turns out that is not correct. Next week I am heading down to the southern part of Taiwan to a city called Tainan for 2 nights. It is a 4 day weekend for me and I decided I was not going to spend 4 days sitting in my apartment. I am going to be taking the high speed rail (like Japan's bullet train), and staying in a hostel for the first time. I am really looking forward to seeing another city in this country as well as a new huge night market and hopefully the beach! We will see. I still have a lot of research to do about the area. I am praying that this trip goes really well! If it does I am planning to do another solo trip but something on a different level. I won't go into it because I don't want to psych myself or anyone else out yet!
That's all I got for now, friends. Till next time!
