So since finishing the course and moving I have been taking many steps towards getting a job in Taiwan. I just started looking at schools to apply to and simultaneously applying for a background check to the FBI. I was told that it would take a month to finish this part. What I had to do was go to a police station to get my finger prints taken. I then had to mail them into the FBI (after first starting the process online). I received my results in maaayyybe two weeks. I was stunned! It was all becoming too real. I thought I had more time...I don't know. Now I feel like I have to go through with it. The background check results are only good for six months so I had to get going on applying for jobs.
A while ago I was asking my alumni group what schools I should apply for, and one that received a good review from a current teacher is a placed called Shane English. They are an after school program and teach students anywhere from 3 years-old to adult. I applied and got a response back pretty quick and set up an interview. Now, at this point I have already had my interview via Skype and it went really well. I provided references so I am expected to hear back soon with a contract...or not...but I have a good feeling about this one. :)
