ALRIGHT We are on track!! One lesson I learned: double check all information before you submit for official documents...especially the ones on a federal level. First of all I received the news that I am officially officially certified! However in the same day I found out that my birth date was wrong on my background check, which means I needed a whole new one and I was leaving within two weeks. For about 5 days I was a nervous wreck trying to figure out where to get a new one, how fast I can get it, where to get my finger prints again...anyway, I wont bore you, but it all worked out. Yesterday I received my new background check and submitted it to my employer and got the ok. Finally I can breathe again.
The next things are all about getting travelers and medical insurance to cover me my first month in Taiwan. After that the insurance that comes as a benefit of my employment. I have heard nothing but great things about their healthcare system. The other thing is that I need to look for an apartment. At first I wanted to get my own place, but there are a lot of benefits to having a roommate. The place is already homie, there is someone who knows the city to help me out if they wish and lower rent...we will see though!
This weekend is my going away party though. It should be a really good time but hard at the same time since I have to say good bye to them for now. At any rate it will be fun. I leave in 5 days NO BIG DEAL!
